Shore Preparatory School Confirmed as a Candidate School For The International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP)

12 Jun 2025

Shore Preparatory School is a candidate school* for the PYP. The School is pursuing authorisation as an IB World School. IB World Schools share a common philosophy - a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education - that we believe is important for our students. This means we can begin our trial implementation of the programme, while continuing to work towards recognition by the IB as an authorised provider of the PYP.

The PYP is a student-centred approach to education for children in the Primary years of schooling, reflecting education research, thought leadership and experience derived from IB World Schools. The framework ensures high-quality education, grounded in rigorous academic principles. It guides students to become principled, independent and active learners through a holistic approach.

Shore Prep will commence the trial of PYP in Semester 2, 2025.
